Cleeve has supplied packages of plant for Slurry Preparation and Dosing of Hydrated Lime over a number of years for use in Water Treatment.

Each plant is purpose designed for the particular scope of works specified by the client.

A normal plant includes a Hydrated Lime storage silo with facilities to be filled from a bulk tanker, which includes pressure/vacuum relief, a reverse jet air vent filter, and level probes or load cells for indication of silo contents.

A Cleeve / Iserco Bin Activator is used to ensure discharge and the lime is metered by a screw feeder to a weigh hopper, which batch feeds a mixing tank to give a typical 5% lime to water slurry. A slurry mixing tank would include facilities to batch feed the water either by weight or ultra sonic level indication and a liquid top entry mixer to maintain suspension of lime
